Archive Manager - Overview
The Archive Manager potentiates you to generate an archive which is either temporarily downloadable (for one day) or is stored on your webspace. An archive can either contain a single file or a entire directory (including subdirectories).
Furthermore you have the possibility to display already existing archives and, if desired, to switch to a specified directory. Thus, you can e.g. backup your website data or zip and extract single files.

Create an Archive
In order to create an archive, navigate to your Archiv Manager and click on the link Create archive. Select the directory in which the archive should be installed (archive base folder). It is recommended to use a separate directory for the archives. Next, select the folder(s) to be archived from the list. If you want to archive a specific file out from the folder chosen type the file name into the next description field. Select the archive format and type of compression (in case of any doubts keep the standard settings). Decide if the archive should be generated temporarily or permanently on your webspace and click on Create archive.
Viewing an Archive
In order to view an existing archive, navigate to your Archiv Manager and click on the link View/extract archive. Type the name of the archive to be viewed and select the directory, containing the archive file, from the list. Determikne the type of compression (in case of any doubts keep the standard settings). Click on Display archive contents.
Extract an Archive
In order to extract an existing archive, first view the archive (see above). Select the directory, to which the archive is to be extracted and click on Extract archive.
Downloading an Archive
In order to download a temporarily archive, navigate to your Archiv Manager and click on the link Download archive. Then click on the name of the archive to be downloaded.
Deleting an Archive
You can delete an archive, created on your webspace, in your File-Manager or with the help of a FTP-program. See also: File-Manager.
Temporary archives are automatically deleted 24 hours after being created.
